Tara Shah, RN

Tara has led the Binaytara Foundation’s patient education programs in Whatcom and Skagit Counties, WA since 2017, delivering 8 such events between 2017 and 2019 to nearly 350 participants from the area. In 2019, Tara received a community grant from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center office of community outreach to identify the health information needs and health information-seeking behavior of cancer patients and their non-medical caregivers in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties. This research will help improve the effectiveness of patient education programs like this proposed project. In her role as the executive director of the Binaytara Foundation, she has successfully partnered with community organizations, healthcare providers, and patient advocates on various projects.
